This year's game boasted a whole slew of features that make the game feel more real than ever before. These spots show that when your team feels real, you can keep it real too- for better or for worse.
There were a few other executions that we had in mind, but the networks weren't too thrilled about those.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11
In this version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf EA wanted to emphasize the new team play feature in the game. We made a video combining golf with traditional team sports and let ESPN’s Scot Van Pelt commentate. Tiger said it was one of the weirdest things he’s done. In retrospect, we find that hard to believe.
Scott Van Pelt was the commentator in Tiger PGA Tour 10. So we had some fun with the anchor’s “voice-only” contribution to the game.
Fight Night Round 4
In Fight Night Round 4 the world was finally able to play as Tyson vs Ali. We wanted to imagine what people who were actually at the fight would have to say.
MMA
When EA SPORTS launched its first MMA game, the anticipation for gamers to feel what it’s like to be in the ring for any discipline they wanted was huge. So we let them travel the world where the different fighting styles come from and feel it first-hand.
